Farewell to two of Emperor Heraclius’s Founders
The 1st March 2022 saw the last meeting for the first two founders of the Emperor Heraclius Conclave No.555, as Ian and Trevor Currans have decided to move to Stirlingshire in Scotland in the next two months. They have proved an invaluable support to the Conclave over the last twelve years and they will be sadly missed.

Farewell to two of Emperor Heraclius’s Founders The meeting, however, was a very happy occassion with the new ritual for a proclamation meeting being used for the first time when M P Kt David Grimmer was proclaimed as Most Puissant Sovereign for a second year as he had previously only enjoyed one meeting prior to that due to the Covid pandemic. E Kt Andrew Francis was also proclaimed as the Viceroy for a second year and the officers invested.

Afterwards a talk on the life of Emperor Heraclius was given by Ill Kt Bob Tuthill which the brethren appeared to enjoy as it gave quite an insight into his life and achievements as the Emperor of Constantinople.

Despite the sad resignations of Ian and Trevor their is some light for the future with the announcement of a new member, who is Des Franklin who has been proposed by our Marshall, Ill Kt Simon McCarthy.

The members enjoyed a very nice festive board with good wine at the Croydon Centre.
